Synopsis (Goodreads):
Being stolen from Earth has taught me that there's nothing in this universe to be trusted. Not people, not promises. So I make sure that I'm prepared for the worst at all times. I fill my homestead with pit traps. I make weapons for fun. I avoid my friendly neighbors.

And I never leave my house if I can help it.

So when I find a deathly-ill cat alien on my living room floor, I do what any sensible human woman would do. I put a stun-stick to his jock and demand answers.

He should be scared. Terrified. So why is this idiot flirting with me?
Thoughts on When She's Wary: A very wary, closed off human woman and the Praxiian crashing on his newly mated brother's couch next door. Tabitha and Jrrru, my friends. YESSSSSS.

Tabitha is desperately lonely, but she doesn't trust anyone enough to let them close. Literally, as it turns out. She has pit traps dug around her house to keep people away and she makes weapons to defend herself (as best she can) in her spare time. When Jrrru stumbles up to her doorstep after dosing himself with something that didn't sit well with him, she's forced to interact with him.

For the record, Jrrru's dosing of himself was of a medical nature. Sort of. Let's just say that Jrrru has a minor lack of impulse control and not a lot of patience to give said medicine time to work. That said, living with Hrrrusek and the fearless Chelsea has given Jrrru a little insight into how, uhh, trying it can be to live with someone who doesn't always think their actions through. So while he is a little impulsive at times, he DEFINITELY gets better as time goes on.

I mean, the guy was the definition of patience when it came to wooing Tabitha. He took his time letting her get to know him and he very much let her set the pace. Seeing as how Tabitha had a lot of walls and scowls, we're talking months, not days or weeks. So, yeah, Jrrru learns patience and that taking your time and planning things out can have a BIG payoff.

MAN, I enjoy spending time on Risda and getting to revisit couples (Mycrul and Mina!) we've met before. And Tabitha and Jrrru? YESSSSSS. *thumbs up*
