Synopsis (Goodreads):
Raised by her three overbearing brothers, Scarlett is a hell-raising tomboy with a tool belt. A tornado stirring up trouble everywhere she goes. Her favorite pastimes? Drinking any man under the table and two-stepping. But she has zero interest in love. Scarlett's only being neighborly when she claims her sexy next-door neighbor as her new pet project.

Devlin is a man at rock bottom. Marriage, political career, five-year plan to Washington, D.C. All destroyed with one well-placed jab. The golden boy is now the black sheep relegated to Bootleg Springs, a tiny West Virginia town with two claims to fame: 1. Moonshine and 2. The cold case disappearance of a teen girl.

Devlin just wants to lick his wounds. But Scarlett has other ideas for his tongue... and the rest of him. She's determined to bring him back to life, even if getting him back on his feet means never seeing him again. But when an old mystery becomes new news, she'll need his help to survive the scandal.
Thoughts on Whiskey Chaser: We're heading into Bootleg Springs to meet the Bodine siblings and HOO-BOY does this family live large. Not in an extravagant way or anything. They just live loud and hard and they have each others' backs when they need it most.

Which isn't to say they don't have spats with one another. Scarlett might possibly be harboring a teeny, tiny bit of resentment for how her brothers backed away from helping with her father the past few years. But she loves her brothers and she loves the life she's carved out for herself, so she pushes the teeny, tiny bit of resentment down. And when it comes bubbling up, well, let's just say there's a lot she's dealing with and leave it at that.

Meanwhile, Devlin is hiding out in Bootleg Springs as he deals with both personal and professional issues that sent him into a tailspin. His family (with the exception of his grandma) aren't all that great, by the way, and he kind of needs the unconditional support of Scarlett and her brothers (once they get over the horror of him potentially dating their baby sister) to help him find his feet again. Plus, Scarlett's big heart and unfiltered mouth show him how important being true to yourself is.

A cold case that stirs things up, a half-brother no one knew about, a little trash talk, a lot of moonshine, a man who has to find himself, and a lady who fights hard for the things that matter. I'm liking this little town and all the people who populate it. *thumbs up*
