Synopsis (Goodreads):
Mounds of chocolate and plenty of sampling are all but guaranteed when covering the Firefly Chocolate Festival. Sunni Taylor is happy to oblige. The main event of the whole cocoa-y affair is a chocolate sculpting contest. Soon after opening, the festival is marred by accusations of cheating and sabotage, intrigues that take a back seat to something much more disruptive—murder. Sunni has to put down the chocolate salted caramels and chocolate covered toffee and find out who killed the chocolatier. Oh, and here’s an interesting tidbit, dear reader. She won’t be working with her usual favorite detective on this case.
Thoughts on Chocolate Festival Felony: We're back with Sunni and her crew as she investigates muuuurrrrrder at the Firefly Chocolate Festival. Technically, it could have been an accident, but Sunni thinks otherwise. And, let's face it, when Sunni starts investigating THINGS HAPPEN.

On the not-usual scale, Jax isn't the one officially investigating this time. A new detective has joined the force and Jax is taking a (probably) well-deserved couple of days off when the deed gets done. Which means Sunni's mostly on her own as far as sussing out clues and piecing things together.

Her lack of official help doesn't slow her down, however. It isn't long before she's putting herself in dangerous situations, calling on ghostly residents for clues, and, well, did you see that part about dangerous situations? Because it happens. Big time. (On the plus side, there are baby goats Sunni and Jax get to spend time with. BABY GOATS!)
