Synopsis (Goodreads):
Sunni Taylor's sisters, through their power of sisterly persuasion, have convinced her to host a Halloween costume party at Cider Ridge Inn. She's a little reluctant about the whole event and rightly worried about the actual ghost, who will, no doubt, be in attendance, but she decides to just relax and enjoy it. Of course, you can't have a spooky Halloween party without toothy-grinned Jack-o'-lanterns.

Sunni talks Jackson into spending their day off at a local pumpkin patch. The Riggle Family Farm is famous for its sprawling pumpkin patch and mind-boggling corn maize. Sunni and Jackson look forward to a day in the autumn breeze sipping cider, nibbling on candy corn and choosing the best pumpkins for the party. But when one of the Riggles is murdered, the day off turns into a murder investigation. And once again, Sunni has a front seat to the chaos.
Thoughts on Murder at the Pumpkin Patch: Sunni and Brady are trying to enjoy a relaxing day off at the pumpkin patch and hahahahaha. Yeah. A dead body. They get stumbled over (by Sunni usually) far more often than one would think. And seeing as how Brady is the lead detective, there goes the day off.

Now, technically, Sunni's not on this case. She might have been on the scene when the body was discovered, but she's not reporting on it for the paper (thanks, Daaaaaave) and she's only nominally investigating. You know, asking the odd murder-related question while researching the Halloween festivities going on around town.

That said, she is sussing out clues for Brady (because she's a good girlfriend) and sort of following her nose when it comes to suspicious goings on. She's also dealing with a psychic sensitive Raine has brought by the inn and some very real dilemmas about what Edward's existence is going to be like once the inn opens.

A little fall color, a zombie or two, sexy Detective Brady Jackson, ghosts, pumpkins, and a teeny-tiny bit of danger. Heh. Just kidding. Sunni gets into a little more danger than that. As you might expect.
