Good thing Quinn found her way to him. Not only did the experiments done to her give her a measure of immunity against his deadly touch, but she's a genuinely nice person and Orishok deserves someone like that. You know, because of the abandonment and standing vigil over his dead brethren thing.
Given poor Orishok's inability to touch living things, it takes a while (and a mishap or two) before things start heating up between the two of them. Mental realignments take time, you know.
I'm still digging this world and all the weird, deadly things that the survivors of the Concord are running across. *thumbs up*
