Synopsis (Goodreads):
How do you mend a broken heartstone?
Amber crashed onto an alien planet and survived the dangers of an unknown world. Three literally hot aliens with lava coursing through their veins decide she’s their mate. She’s endured everything Sonhadra has thrown at her but she might not survive their fiery embrace.

Pel and Mishal know that the commanding human female is their mate. They vow to claim her once they repair Flin’s fractured heartstone, the material from which can only be found in the frozen north. Barely able to keep their hands off each other, how can Amber and her Fire Valos resist temptation until they can find a way to safely be together?
Thoughts on Inferno: A dangerous planet, a fractured group of survivors on the run, triads and foursomes and other pairings, and aliens who are learning to feel again. Yessssssss.

Amber managed to survive the wilds with her small group from the downed ship and, by the time the Valos put in an appearance, she was more than ready to let them help. She's still the leader (of sorts) of her group, though, and she's feeling a little frayed when Pel and Mishal first set eyes on her.

Given that their triad is fractured because of Flin's damaged heartstone (and they are most certainly a triad), things don't move forward easily for the group. Pel wants to jump in a relationship, Mishal thinks Pel is being foolhardy when one of their triad is damaged, and Amber's trying to figure out how things with more than one man will work.

Spoiler: It works just fine.

But first, they have to make a journey to one of the frozen cities to find the material to repair their third male and get him active again. Guess what? Fire Valos don't do so great in the freezing weather. Guess what again? They're still willing to chance it because they want to get frisky as a group and they don't want to go into things one man down.

Foursomes, man. They make it work and I appreciate their can-do attitude.
