Synopsis (Goodreads):
I’ve had a full life: wife, mom, divorcee…and then alien property. All of that’s changing now that I’m on the ice planet. Here, I’m free again, and I’ve found love once more. Vaza’s older and a widower, but he knows how to make a woman smile both in the furs and out of them.

Everyone around me has a baby in their arms or in their belly, though, and it’s hard to be the only one without. I love nothing more than being a mama…and when I hear there’s an orphan at the Icehome camp, I want to adopt him. Vaza and I have so much love to give, but will an alien baby love us back?

(Psst! This story does not stand alone. Start with LAUREN’S BARBARIAN! You’ll be glad you did!)
Thoughts on Gail's Family: Okay, this was a really sweet slice of life type story revolving around two of the secondary characters. Not that Gail hasn't been in the middle of everything as she mothers the abducted women, but she and Vaza made eyes at one another and that was that. Gail knew what she wanted and she wasn't about to mess around and let someone else snatch him up.

What I'm trying to say is that this was sweet. Vaza came across as kinda...err, not really creepy in the other books, but...I don't know. Gail's observation that he was lonely hit the spot. He was lonely and he wasn't above having some fun if any of the ladies were interested. Fortunately for both him and Gail, she liked the guy, saw what a devoted sweetheart he could be, and they got down to business.

Then word of the orphaned baby from the island came to them and both of them are ready to lend a hand. I liked that. Both Gail and Vaza are dedicated to bringing Z'hren into their family. Things might not have gone as smoothly as Gail wanted at first, but she's not one to give up.

I have to say it (because I say it EVERY review), I'm still loving these big, blue guys and their utter dedication to their special someone.
