Synopsis (Goodreads):
It's hard to make friends with the other women at the Icehome camp when you'd rather be dissecting the local fauna. Which is why I'm surprised when one of the big, brawny islanders asks me to help him make a prosthetic leg. I don't know N'dek, but since I'm a scientist, he wants my help. And while I'm more into dinosaurs than anatomy, I love a challenge.

As we work together, I come to see that N'dek's not just clever and determined, he's also protective and sweet. And he kisses like a fiend.

He's a distraction I don't need... but he might be everything I've ever wanted. Too bad he says he's going to resonate to someone else.
Thoughts on Devi's Distraction: The frozen planet the humans have landed on is so freaking captivating. I blame those hunky, blue aliens. It doesn't matter whether they have a few extras (arms, horns, whatever!), they're all sweethearts who dedicate themselves full-on to the one the resonate with (sometimes before they resonate, too!) and I just adore them.

N'dek has been the surly, bystander since the group came across the water from the island. He's not a grump by nature, though, it's more because he's dealing with the loss of his leg and his independence and then suddenly getting uprooted from the place he and his tribe had called home. He's dealing with things, man. Big things.

Asking Devi to help him make a prosthetic is when everything changes for him. He finds someone who doesn't pity him, but sees his request as a challenge she's willing to tackle. As you would expect, things start to heat up the more time they spend with one another.

Quite frankly, that's what I'm here for. THE HEAT.

Sexy times and sweetness, guys. I'm here for it. So hard. N'dek and Devi hit those metrics and I am very curious about Bridget and A'tam and how things are going to play out there.
