Synopsis (Goodreads):
What’s a bigger disaster than being stranded on an ice planet with a bunch of aliens, never to return home? Resonating to the biggest jerk of all those aliens, of course. I hate M’tok, and it seems to be mutual. He thinks I’m ugly and unpleasant, and doesn’t understand why I don’t just fling myself at him. In his eyes, resonance has decided, and that’s that.

Problem is, resonance keeps pushing us together. And when that doesn’t make me jump into his furs…he steals me away from the camp. I can’t avoid him if there’s nowhere to go.

I want to hate him even more for that. But I keep finding out that M’tok isn’t who I thought he was. And the man I hate? Doesn’t hate me at all…
Thoughts on Callie's Catastrophe: Oh, man. Callie and M'tok have been at odds since first resonance. On Callie's end, the idea she'd resonated to this man who she doesn't know and doesn't want to know is the cherry on top of the poop sundae she's stuck with. M'tok's reasons for acting as he did are a little less obvious at first, but the more we get to know about him, the easier it is to see why he's acted the way he's acted.

But let's get back to Callie for a moment. She's a mess. Rightly so, as I see it. She's still dealing with the idea that there's no going home again when she lays eyes on M'tok and her unstable world gets tilted again. She's depressed about losing her family and she hasn't found her place in this new tribe when suddenly her cootie announces it's found the perfect man for her. She is in no way ready for a relationship and she fights it HARD.

M'tok, on the other hand, has suddenly been handed the one thing he'd pretty much given up on ever finding, but she's running in the other direction whenever she lays eyes on him. Which sort of pushes his buttons, as you can probably guess, and leads him to making more than a few errors when it comes to dealing with his fiery sweetheart.

Kidnapping Callie might not be the wisest idea, but he isn't the first on the planet to go that route and he probably won't be the last. And, you know, since it forces them to actually talk to one another and get to know one another, it all works out for the best in the end.

(As an aside, Marisol and T'chai are killllllling me. Their situation is pretty darn painful and I really really really want to see them find their happiness soon. Because, ouch.)

I'm still loving Icehome and resonance and I NEED MORE PLEASE.
