Thoughts on Angie's Gladiator: I've loved the big blue barbarians since book one of the Ice Planet Barbarians series and I'm absolutely ADORING the new characters that were dumped on the planet after the fact. They're not all human and I sorta, kinda looooove seeing how they come to terms with their new circumstances as they find love and acceptance on this icy planet.

So. Angie and Vordis. Poor Angie woke up pregnant on a distant world, surrounded by aliens, and with no idea how she came to have a bun in the oven. While I don't think her fellow refugees meant to exclude her from their ranks, her advanced pregnancy has left her somewhat isolated because she can't physically do many of the things the others can do.

Which, when you're alone and pregnant with a baby of unknown origin on an alien world surrounded by people you don't know kinda sucks.

Vordis, on the other hand, had his brother clone with him, so he's not alone. At all. In fact, Thrand tends to seek him out because that's what clones do. Which leaves Vordis a little irritated because new world, new rules, new life, right? They don't have to follow the dictates of their former lives and Vordis is ready to try new things. New things being exploring the chemistry between him and Angie.

Babies, resonance, and beginnings, man. I'm still 100% smitten with these guys and their circumstances and can't wait to see what comes next.
